Taking the cue from our clients, we offer a facility oriented toward contemporary music production. Not a midi closet, and not a sound stage suitable for string dates, Houndog's studio is a comfortable, intimate space that is oriented toward small group tracking, overdubbing, and mixing/mastering.
Designed to accommodate the methods that tracking dates have recently utilized, there is a large control room and two iso booths. To complement our studio space, we offer a beautifully restored 1928 Steinway 6' model L.

What we enjoy most is making music with other creative people. Although we have the usual extensive equipment list, we believe that the most important factor in any recording project is human.
We are experienced performers, as well as producers. We make sure that the technical side is taken care of. But, most importantly, we understand non-technical terms, such as "feel" and "presence", and further, why those things are more crucial than "quantization" or "bit depth" to an artist's project.
We have the range of skills to help you bring your project to fruition. Musically and technically, there is no substitute for experience. Analog to digital, log drum to sampler, we have the knowledge and chops.
From when you walk in with a handful of songs, to when you walk out with a finished master, Houndog puts every bit of skill and talent at your disposal. Our success depends on your success.

Studio Rates
Services at Houndog Studio - $50. per hour
On location production and techical consultation $50 per hour or day rate.
Recording $50 per hour
(Minimum 4 hr. block charged per day on location. Mileage charged portal to portal)
CD Duplication
Short run ( 5-100 units ) cd duplication with printing directly on the cd (no paper labels) Client can provide artwork, or we can do simple layouts. printed/duplicated Cds are $5.00 ea. if a more elaborate label design is needed, we can refer you to a professional designer who has done many cds.
